Celebrating life!

Welcome! I am Marc Cecil—a psychologist, psychotherapist, writer, husband, father, and grandfather, who has always felt that I was different. Much of my life has been spent as a witness to those who have been lost in the darkness, searching for a way back home. For many of us—including myself—this journey began in childhood.

In my work, I have had the privilege of learning from my clients, often more than they have learned from me. This blog is a collection of images, stories, and poetic musings that reflect the struggles and transformations we have faced together. I have shared some of my stories with other therapists and clients to help them connect more deeply to their hearts, knowing they are not alone, and to connect more deeply to the work.

The words I share here are part of the light that has emerged from our healing journey, a light that has grown out of invisibility. My hope is that these reflections inspire you to discover the light within your own heart, which will help you realize that you are not invisible. This blog is a testament to our capacity for transformation, healing, and growth, even in the wake of complex trauma and loss, not just for ourselves but for everyone we touch.

Whether you are a client, a therapist, someone who supports those connected to this work, or simply curious about the mysteries of life, you are welcome here. If something you read resonates with you, I would love to hear your thoughts. To protect confidentiality and maintain professional boundaries, comments are not enabled. However, you are welcome to reach out to me directly at mcecilvt@aol.com.,

Please note that I do not offer therapy or consultation within this space. However, if you give me permission, I may integrate your words into future writings—anonymously and with great care.

My deepest hope is that The Light of Invisibility grows beyond this blog into a community of shared understanding, where our differences bring us closer together and remind us of the power we all possess within, giving us new meaning as participants in life as well as witnesses.

Thank you for being here. Let the light burn brightly, bringing us home to the people we were always meant to be!
